Hello everyone looking for a bit of advice. So finally was able to purchase the Yoshimura R77 Works Race Exhaust System Yamaha R7 / FZ-07 / MT-07 / XSR700
Item: P332124 which is supposed to fit the 22' R7. However ended up taking it to a shop and even they couldn't get the headers to stretch and fit into place ( they didn't want to stretch that much as they didn't want to be responsible for the damages of either bike or bolts on the bike).

I really don't want to attempt to return this as it's now opened and has a some used markings as the shop and I was trying to get the headers to connect. Gonna try to do this myself now again. The shop was able to get some measurements of the original exhaust (128.08mm) and the Yoshimura (122.95).

Any advice on how to get this extra stretch? Or if you're a welding shop that's based in San Diego that can add a little stretch that would be awesome

I loosely bolted one up then moved the other into position and bolted it up. I'm not sure of the distance off it was, could have been 6mm, but it went on without too much issue and not a massive amount of effort. I do recall thinking I
initially that it was the wrong pipe too but it went on.
Yosh seems to be a bit off on the build template for this engine, which is surprising considering how many they have to have made by now.

I ran into the same problem, it just comes shipped like that, u have to pull the pipes apart with your hands and feet. It helps to have a friend so u guys can pull on one pipe each. Line it up to your stock pipe after pulling then instal is easy.

I was finally able to get the exhaust on myself, bought 2 rhino airbags and placed them both by the headers and expanded them to give me the few mm's I needed. Definitely needed a second pair of hands for this, but still honestly not that bad. Thanks everyone for the suggestions!

I had the same problem on my exhaust, the pipes were about a 1/4inch too close. My buddy and I ******* stretched it with a low jack and some rigging straps lol. With alot of anxiety we managed to stretch it enough to not put pressure on the block.
