I’ve long been an Arai user, but after the crash last year that killed my Quantum X, I am now using a KYT NZ-Race, which has been customized a bit. Originally white, then Cal Crutchlow inspired scheme, not the crutches though, that was for the crash. Not thinking I’d be changing when I ordered them, the new leathers have an Arai patch. Oh well. 🤷‍♂️

Thanks. Yes, gear matters!! It may be out of your hands, but always be properly protected and prepared. Heroic Racing custom fitted and designed kangaroo and stingray leathers and gloves. So much more comfortable and less restrictive than the off the rack Dainese I was wearing before. I need to bring that in for repair, keep it as a backup.

I am a long time Suomy user... this year's scheme I'm rocking. Always seem to fit me well and my shape of head as well as super comfortable during long endurance stints.
I do like these new Suomy SR-GP

Suomy and KYT are the same company now. I got such a good deal on the KYT, and the fit and feel was Araidentical. I talked to my friend who sells them for an hour with it on, while he was working on bikes, no issues, felt great an hour later. SOLD!! Less than half the price of the Arai it replaced.

Kangaroo and stingray, with upgraded protection and flex panels, and the back protector built in. I had new gloves made too to go along with it. It took about an 30 minutes to be measured then a couple hours designing it. That was an expensive day. So much better than the off the rack Dainese I had been wearing though. Heroic Racing on Long Island. I've been using their gloves for a few years, I really like the fit, function, and protection. The Dainese rep at the LA motorcycle show turned me on t them, he bought some too. Asked me not to say that he sent me over. 🤣

Nice, I'm gonna start a what leathers everyone is using. Nice to hear the stories and issues, likes dislikes etc. Might help some people in making decisions

I have seen kangaroo leather being used for years but it was out of my price range. It is supposed to be just as strong if not stronger than cow leather but more flexible and much lighter. When the box arrived, my son brought it in saying there is NO WAY these are your leathers, this has got to be a another hoodie!! The box felt quite light..... it was the leathers and gloves. I had just received a yearly bonus from work, I pulled the trigger. They do make a very nice protective, armored hoodie too!!! Very comfortable for a cruise around town. The best abrasion resistant tridavar motorcycle or onewheel hoodie
