UPDATE: Speedo say “0”

Just had new tires put on (this is my 5th set) and for some reason now my speedo won’t show any speed other than “0” and the abs light is on and eventually the engine light came on and stays on as well….

UPDATE: purchased new front abs sensor/cable. Cleaned rear sensor and ABS wheels. Still no change except the speedometer quickly flashed a “3” and then a “5” when I hit those Speeds but quickly went back to “0” after I went past those speeds. So frustrating….

Also, there was a small plastic bracket that held the front abs cable in place that I must have left loose, so it broke when it came into contact with the moving disk brake…. That is what I assumed damaged the front abs cable. Since that bracket was mounted to the bolt that holds the abs sensor in place, I think it was also used to keep the abs sensor the correct distance from the metal abs wheel attached to the front wheel assembly…. What would be a quick way to see if the spacing is off? A couple washers? I know the sensor is magnetic and the abs wheel is metal with rectangular holes - so maybe plastic or rubber washers? I wouldn’t think the abs sensor would stop working if the distance is off by a few millimeters, but I can’t think of what else to do…
Is there a way to “reset” the ecu? Maybe it’s just getting hung up on a error code?

just frustrating…

The wheel speed sensor has been damaged or not refitted correctly. Suggest returning the bike to the tyre fitters and get them to check over.

Or the wheel is in backwards with the reluctor ring on the wrong side. Dunno if it's possible on an r7 but it is on a tenere. If it is backwards the tyre will likely need remounting so either way it's back to the shop or preferably a different one that has competent staff.

That would be my guess.

Not possible, the cush drive/sprocket would be on the opposite side of the bike. best guesses, tone ring was not reinstalled, got bent or the sensor is broken.
The front wheel doesn't have a sprocket or cush drive. Either way it would be nice to get an update.....

Hey good point. My brain went right to the rear only. Probably shouldn't post before bed .
Finally got the replacement abs cable and it’s still not working…. Maybe the spacing is incorrect?

So my abs light came on and Speedo isn’t working after a tire change. Assuming the abs sensor/cable must be damaged, can I get a an abs delete plug and get my Speedo back? I don’t care if I have abs, but would really like to get rid of the yellow abs light and motor light on the dash. Any suggestions?
