Hellllllo fellow R7'ers! Took a little longer than expected to get this far, but finally got set up as a vendor on here. Didn't want to post in this capacity until the account was activated...so here we are! We're going to use this thread as a place to capture or development work and general thoughts on the bike as we move forward.
For those who you who aren't familiar with our company, we're a small family-run organization that has been specializing in niche models for the past 10 years. We started off making a simple American-made fender eliminator for the Buell 1125 models, and as they say, the rest is history. Rather than try to survive in a highly competitive retail space like Revzilla (or others), we don't manage an uber ecommerce site with everything under the sun for all models. Rather, we focus in on niche models. Most typically, we purchase the bikes we develop parts for, but we also tap into bikes of friends, family, or established customers. In addition to the R7, we're also finishing up some products for the Yamaha Tenere 700 and are getting started on some goodies for the 'new' Kawasaki KLX300 models (D/S, R, SM).
Our philosophy is simple: address the weak spots on the bike first and work from there. While the majority of our focus has been on suspension over the years (more on that later), we also co-develop products with our suppliers and partners (more on this, too). In general, the the products you find on our site are either our own concoction or the result of collaboration with our suppliers. If we haven't developed or used the components, we won't sell them. Period.
Please feel free to chime in here, ask questions, and make suggestions. Not only does this help us understand what our customers are looking for, but it also lets us know that our time isn't wasted when posting on these forums (don't get us started on Facebook!).
We'll be catching up on our work here over the next few days - we've received the first bike on the east coast back in June. But for now, have a look/listen at what we've been doing:
