Hello everyone! New member here, got my R7 about 2 weeks ago and have been changing her up to make her a little more unique. I went with a sky blue paint and neon yellow accents! Couple of other standard upgrades like exhaust and tail tidy. I’m located in Southern California and hope to see some of you guys out there in the canyons! Curious if anyone is down, I want to do a shoot with all the different color models of the R7. Cheers!

Welcome, and nice job on the color change! I keep waffling on the idea of flo yellow rims or taping the stock blue. I am back to liking the bike yellow mix on the rims. Someone here is making some rim tape that I like by far over what I see available commercially now, until I saw yours, that tape looks great too. I was thinking yellow rims until last week when a pic of the bike showed both wheels flo-yellow duct tape over the wheel weights in the same picture. Dammit, cannot decide, but definitely leaning back to tape now. I should say, for now. LOL

I am in So Cal/LA, which canyon area are you thinking?

Hahaha I was really torn as well on the color to do the bike. I really wish Yamaha offered better colors for the R7. I like the blue but the navy mixed in with it, I wasn’t a fan at all. Let me know if you want the link to the company I used. They are on the expensive side but the quality feels and looks nice.

I was thinking GMR, lots of places to turn out and get pics as well as take videos/pics rolling in the turns.

GMR is pretty much my back yard, I'm up there often, and it's open again!!! The turn that fell out and is now repaired is interesting. 😳 Lumpy and slick!! I know two of these are from the other side. The goon road. lol Even CHP says stay on GMR, don't ride the big canyon. So many close calls over there.
