Never bought a model bike that was pretty new. When do service manuals usually become available? And where do you purchase it from? Thanks

They're available when the bike is released, the Yamaha website has em. $75

So I bought the printed service manual from the website for freaking $100 shipped. It should just be included with the bike...

Anyways, if someone needs something specific, or a torque spec let me know and I’ll do my best to get back to them.

Scan it to pdf and I’ll split with you. $50 i paid for the 14 day to get some wiring schematics, but geez it’s blurry when I zoom in. Is the book clear? Even when using a magnifying glass, can you clearly see wire color labels?
I got one from www.service-shop-repair-manual.com for $40 shipped. It isn't the normally bound book I am used to from Yamaha but the printing is great. IDK, I threw the dice, it seems to be fine. I do not even remember how I found that place, I got it back in July.

I have no idea. Searching the Internet. It's a good book. Sys Official Yamaha right on it. LOL

2nd day out, tipover, cracked left lower fairing (and bent clutch lever). The maze of tabs, screws, pop-out connectors has me struggling! Might add that can the seat removal be designed with any more steps? #*&@“#!
Back on topic, if you can send me a jpeg of the removal diagrams / instructions I’d be most appreciative.
big thanks,
Warren
@RENNYRACER You just want to know how to remove the fairings?
That’s it. So many interconnected plastic pieces. Trying to do this without taking apart whole left side of bike!

Take out the exposed screws, then there are a handful of those plastic pop rivet things, the PITA one's with a screw head that does nothing useful. Two in the bottom center, a couple on the inside of the fairing right inside the front. I always end up replacing those with regular center push in ones, I just cannot figure them out. Pull the panel out from the bottom, where it snaps into the top fairing is odd too, they pop together with little molded in clips. You'll swear they will break when you do it but I have not had one let go yet. It's a big odd shaped piece, I cannot see how using driver of some sort to push in the clip part would help, and you would need two people to do that. If anyone has a better way to explain how they are supposed to work, please let us all know.

I think I’ve removed everything mentioned. Seems like the bugger will snap. Hey, it’s already damaged. I’ll give it a go.
Thanks for the info!!
Got it. Stumbled upon a couple more screws that had to be removed but all good. Now if the supplier had sent me the left side fairing, and not the right, prob be back together now.
I've got it from here I think its best price

I don't mean to necro this post. I am actually looking for something specific (if you ever received the service manual, that is).

Do you know if the service manual specifies the torque value for the fork stem yoke nut? Its the nut that sits directly in between the two orange nuts at the top of the fork right under where you put the key in for the bike.

I'm asking because ive heard wildly different answers across the web, some saying 85ft/lb, some saying 100+ ft/lb. And I dont really need to pay $100 for a service manual when this is the only torque spec im gonna need to know for pretty much the entire life of the bike.

Thanks in advance!
That’s the one. Hell yeah thanks man I appreciate it!
