If the R6 mirrors fit, couldn't you just use those?

To my knowledge, I wasn’t aware the R6 mirrors fit. As far as I’m concerned the R7 mirrors have threaded posts where as the R6 mirrors use bolts to thread into the mirrors. Do you know if R6 mirrors fit?

It was confirmed in the "r7 part fitment" thread that R6 mirrors fit. I personally haven't tried it, my bike has yet to be delivered.

2018 R6 mirrors fit great on my R7. View attachment 687 View attachment 688
I like what you did with the R6 mirrors. I think all sport bikes should come with turn signals mounted in the mirrors as that is where it is the most visible. Do you happen to have the part number handy?

Also where did you get your R7 decal on the fairing? I want one just like it without the teal blue at the bottom!

I agree, I like safety when street riding. I also changed my light to Yamaha LED plus turn signals, front and rear. I tested out a ton of LEDs with my prior Grom and R3, these lights are the brightest.

Part # for R6 mirrors are BN6-26280-10-00 Left and BN6-26290-10-00 Right. But new they are pricey, around $200 each. I kept checking eBay and found both OEM for $150, ordered them from a 2018 R6.

Here is what they look like with the Yamaha LED plus. I chose not to connect the amber DRLs (3rd wire) since my Yamaha LED plus front turns were white.

Decals, I just bought some blue vinyl rolls on Amazon and used my vinyl cutter to cut. Also, can't tell but there are clear 3m protectors on my gas tank, look at the last pic and see if you can see the clear protector on the gas tank. No more swirl marks from gripping tank. I used a Portrait 3 Silhouette cutter. I have all measurements and designs if you need them.

Thanks a ton for all the information and pictures.

I had the matte blue parts of my R7 carbon fiber wrapped them bought smoked flush mount turn signals from TST industries so now I have a very clean look from the side but I lost the majority of the turn signal visibility from the front. I think adding the R6 mirrors will bring it back then I will have the best of both worlds.

These came in the mail today! They are not the Rizoma - they are the Chinese knock offs. Honestly I didn’t want to spend $400 on a set of mirrors…. these where around $130 with shipping and arrived in about 2 weeks!

They might take a little getting used to… not sure if I like how they look…. I’ll give them a try for a couple days and see if they are keepers or not…

Any thoughts anyone?

They're mirrors, if they work, they work. I can't justify $400 on mirrors either haha. Imagine spending $400 and hating how they work.

I just got back from my commute which takes about 3 hours round trip. They take a little getting used to, the tapered shape and profile make it a small viewing area. Basically it’s the gap between my bent arms and my chest…. No complaints! Once I got used to the new profile it was awesome!!! The quality is surprisingly good - since they came from china I didn’t know what to expect, but they arrived in two weeks, fit perfectly, came with all the nuts and bolts needed with a couple extra just in case, and took a total of 10 minutes to remove the stock ones and mount the new ones!!!
I will say that I would have liked to have them in a more horizontal position, right now the make an “X” with the levers / grips… there may be a way to make the sit more horizontally, but for now I like them!

I’m very interested in the R7 logo and measurements! Do you have the files you can send?

These look great! Do you have a link where you got them from? I might have missed it.
Do you get any vibration problems? My friend got something like these and they wouldn’t stop vibrating so he had to get rid of them or something. Thanks!!
