Hi guys me and a buddy recently bought a wrecked 22’ r7 and i’m concerned one of the forks is bent i haven’t gotten a good look at them yet but will of course let y’all know when i find out! My question is there any other forks out there that will fit right up no issues, like the 06 r1 forks look to fit by pictures but i saw that the r1’s are 43mm vs the r7’s 41mm. Second question is there any after market fairing manufacturers for this bike yet every where i’ve looked doesn’t have after market fairings so i would have to get oem ones which is quite pricy and would like avoid that if possible if not it is what it is.
thank y’all for your time looking , reading and helping i appreciate it

If the fork is bent, just disassemble it and either straighten the fork tube or get a new fork tube. You'll spend a lot less than buying used pre-'17 R6 forks. I should add, 41 mm is the tube diameter. You want fork uppers that are 50mm at the top and 52mm at the bottom, so they fit your triple clamps.

okay! so we can either bend back the lower tubes or buy new tubes vs having to buy whole new forks if one’s bent thats good news because a whole fork would be expensive. again thank you for the reply and the time i greatly appreciate it

UPDATE Hey guys so i took the forks out and totally disassembled them and they are both completely bent pretty badly it was just hard to tell until you got the front wheel off. even the outer fork that’s gold is bent. is there anyone that has bent the out fork back by maybe filling the outer fork with sand or something along those lines i have a feeling that just bending them would make it crease. anyone have any idea on that. along with does anyone know if mt-09 forks fit they look the same in pictures and seem to have the same diameters and measurements. or is it just the r6 forks that will fit i’m just trying to broaden my search for forks for this thing if i cannot bend them back. i will update again if i can or cannot bent them back as it’s already a lost cause so might as well give her a good shot to. thank y’all

Your going to need to purchase new set of forks. I have never hear of anyone straightening a fork tube out. In order to not have stiction in the travel everything needs to be pretty precise between the inner and outer tubes. Heck have a fork clamp over tight on a Dirtbike can cause enough deformation to cause the inner to get tight at end of travel.
