Hello guys

I am a new owner of the R7.
I got a little bit of a problem with the Exhaust. I live in switzerland and they are really strict about exhausts and everything and my question is, if there is anyone from germany/switzerland who has a good sounding exhaust for the R7.

I found these exhausts
IXIL SLIP ON RC RACE XTREM CARBON exhaust pipe for YAMAHA YZF-R7 (RM39 RM40)
IXIL FULL SYSTEM L3XB DUAL HYPERLOW BLACK XL exhaust pipe for YAMAHA YZF-R7 (RM39 RM40)
IXIL FULL SYSTEM RC RACE XTREM BLACK exhaust pipe for YAMAHA YZF-R7 (RM39 RM40)
For the first and second one, there is sadly no video around or any real info about the exhaust, so i dont really know how they sound..

I found the SC-Project one aswell Full 2-1 stainless steel exhaust system - YAMAHA YZF R7 (2021 - 2022) (sc-project.com) but this doesnt really sound good or maybe i am wrong..

These are the only ones i found which fit the swiss regulations/ Euro Regulations..
I sadly dont know all exhaust companys and i am new to the bike community..

I would be very happy if anyone has some experience or maybe a great exhaust :D

Not really a help but curious on how you gonna get them delivered? I know you're outside EU but I can't seem to find any exhaust available within EU.
The ones I found in the states are all $300++ for shipping alone and I don't even want to mention import taxes (n)

For all those i listed, some swiss companys sell them, so shipping isnt a problem. To be honest, i wouldnt have a problem to pay shipping for a good exhaust, thats the smallest problem :p

The new Akra? (Tho it does cost 1k+ eur. iirc 1.2k?)

I am fitting mine on the 27th, so if you want to wait 2ish weeks I'll let you know/make a video about sound.
They have a sound below on the site for your akra exhaust. Its even quieter than the stock, even states in the description of the exhaust.
So thats 1200$+ for a exhaust which sounds worse than the stock one..

I would love to know if anyone has ixil exhausts on their R7's..

Termignoni might be a decent option for you. I'm in the US so I'm not 100% sure if it follows all regulations but here is the one I bought: MT-07 Termignoni Carbon Edition

Comes with street and race baffle. Not a huge fan of the sound of the race baffle, the street baffle to me sounds great and not too loud. I'd say a bit quieter than the Yoshimura or M4, the tone is a bit higher pitch than the Yoshimura which honestly I prefer. Not sure on the dB rating, couldn't find an actual reading anywhere. A touch of popping during hard engine braking engine braking, nothing crazy and I've noticed it's almost exclusively while in 2nd.

Only thing I had to do here was modify the mounting bracket a bit. You'll need to work it to get the bend angle just right so that you can get everything to line up and clear the tire and swing arm.

Thats before you drill out the baffle/mod the db killer : ^ )
Had to do the same on the previous gen Akra for the MT07. After you mod it a little it becomes extra dank.

Hey man,
How difficult was it to bend the bracket?
Like would I be able to do it my own garage or do I need any crazy tools?

Nothing too crazy, I was able to do it with a vise and a large adjustable wrench as a pry bar. I had to shallow the angle of the original bend on the bracket then work a little bit of an angle in the other direction. Altogether..maybe an hour of trial and error. Also..You'll want it hanging down from the welded post that they have on the bracket, not mounted with both bolts. You'll have a single bolt through the post, then spacer and nut on the back.

I may see if I can get my hands on one of the M4 or Yoshi mount brackets since they have very similar placement / style. The current mounting is solid but it would just be nice to have something a bit cleaner. Not super visible but of course I know it's there..

Hello
I am a distributor of IXIL in Korea.
Currently, Korea needs to get Euro5 catalyst certification to sell.
Therefore, we are currently proceeding with WMTC Euro 5 certification. I will let you know if it is certified.
