Well, technically I bought it from Tulsa, OK, but I do live in DFW. I highly recommend K&N Powersports in Tulsa.

I’m new to sport bikes, with the R7 being my first. Though I’m pretty used to riding dirt bikes. I’ve got a ‘18 YZ250X and I just finished rebuilding a ‘98 Banshee. Thanks to quarantining I got back into powersports after riding them in HS way back.

Excited to learn and ride the R7 the best I can. I already bought some cones to hit my local parking lot. Anyways, I’m Scott, hi from TX!

Welcome, im new to the forum as well. Just picked up my R7 at the end of July. Very fun bike, you will definitely enjoy it. I just hit 1k miles on mine over the weekend. I had to go with the Yamaha Blue also, I love the color scheme they did on this bike.

I was honestly looking real hard at the R3, but was concerned I would outgrow it quickly. I went and sat on a few before I got my MC license and the sales guys were quick to point out I was too big for them. I'm not huge, 6ft., 200 lbs., and I know sales guys are always quick to try and up-sell you, but the R7 just seemed more like a bike I could grow with.
