I just got a r7 and I stripped the bolt that goes into the shift rod link. I was trying to uninstall the normal shift rod to install the GYTR quick shifter but I can't get the bolt out now. The part is 90111-06098-00 and I need the specs of that button bolt to run to ace or something, Yamaha parts shopping feature is down. Also any ideas on how to get it out?

You'll have to carefully drill the head off. It looks like it was made of cheese so should be fairly easy to do. I'd use a battery powered drill on a slow speed. I'd also wrap the surrounding area with as much rag or some such as possible in case you slip off the button head when drilling it.

Get a Torx socket that is just slightly larger than the hex opening and tap it into the hex opening with a hammer. The Torx splines will bite into the metal and you should be able to remove the bolt.
*Note: I would remove the shift arm and lay it on a solid surface to tap the Torx bit into it.

I will try that, I wish they didn't put so much locktite on the damn thing especially when they know people are gonna change it out😂
