For those of you that are removing kickstands for racing I'd like your feedback. First I'm thinking of just leaving the whole kickstand switch mounted in position. Once the kickstand is removed its always in the open position anyway. Only risk would be of something depressing it but I can't see that as being likely. Next, has anyone removed the bracket it's attached to? I tried and tried and the Allen keys don't want to budge on there. So I was thinking of just leaving this bracket on and leaving the switch attached to the back. Would love to see what others are doing.

Those two Allen bolts don't want to come out of there anyway.

The rear set I’m using actually uses the kickstand mounting location. I would add little bit of heat to help break the loctite loose but I don’t see anything wrong with what you have done beside extras weight witch isn’t that big of a deal.

Good to know, I think I'm going to leave it like that at least for now. The weight definitely isn't of concern. At my level those oz's aren't going to make any difference what so ever.
