I've seen some dicussions in regards to ECU flashes.

Do yall recommend FT, aRacer, or something else

Also, I plan on grabbing some velocity stacks. Any good recommendations?

Any recommendations for a full exhaust to make it sound throaty?

aRAcer doesn't do flashes; they manufacture and sell complete ecus which must then be tuned either with their autotune function (using a WBO sensor) and/or on a dyno. The base maps aRacer provides are not suitable for use until they are tuned to your motor. There is no "autotune" for spark maps, so you'll need a skilled dyno operator to do the spark maps. I have an aRacer Super 2 on my race bike.

Flashes are done by tuners like: ECU FLASHING. They're a great option if they have already created a map for the set of mods you've got. There are also tuners who will create a set of maps using a dyno, that are flashed to you ecu, which allows you to retain your Yamaha ecu while enjoying the benefits of a custom tune.

I use a Hordpower airbox, which combines an effective filter with velocity stacks: Hordpower airbox, J.D. also offers flash tuning. There are one or two other options.

Lots of companies are making pipes for the R7. Yoshimura, Vance & Hines, and Graves seem most popular within the road-racing crowd. There are crappy pipes on Amazon if all you're interested in is a louder exhaust.

I like Dan's prices for the +12 hp intake kit and flash. It looks like he's using short velocity stacks and de-restricting intake air flow. The benefit will be seen on the top end power.

If you want a throaty exhaust sound, a well-designed de-restricted large volume can is best. Personal preference is important so have a listen to them if possible. Powerwise, they all seem within a few horsepower of each other.
