Awesome! Thanks for the help!
Yep, that was it right there. With the bike straight, tailgate down, the rear tire rest on the tailgate, in a Ranger it will sit back a couple more inches.
I installed a sting on the tailgate so that I can use a tie down to slightly lift it so that things cannot just slide straight out, but you just plan out you place things back there and it’s not an issue.

I have a couple folding aluminum ones, I don’t think they have a visible label on them any longer. For me, folding arched ramps work better. Folding for sure so it fits in the truck too. Arched so the bike clears the tailgate when loading. That kind of depends on where you load/unload, bed height, etc. I use one ramp for the bike, one ramp for me. You see people using steps or ice chests, all kinds of things as a step when loading or unloading, a ramp for you works much better, I think.

5 1/2 foot bed
Nice GMC. I recently bought a new Chevy Silverado WT of the same color. Standard box, (6’6” bed). Thankful I can close my tailgate.

For a ramp, we’ll I’ve been using the same heavy duty folder for the past 20 years, (i‘ll find out the brand?), and a Baxley wheel chock for the same amount of time, as it really helps lock the front wheel in, after getting er up the ramp.

Yeah I have a 6.5 box on my Titan XD but unfortunately can't close the gate because of my alum framed roll up tonneau cover.
I have to shim my Baxley chock back with a 6x6 so the bike doesn't contact the cover.
