My biggest complaint with the blue R7 was the color scheme. I love the team Yamaha blue. The matte blue parts I was not a fan of. The teal they added in the decals looked even more out of place. In another post I showed how I removed the teal blue pinstripe. This shows how I had all the parts that were originally matte blue carbon fiber wrapped. I'm very happy with the results! I'm still waiting on my carbon fiber Yoshimura exhaust. I think that will really help tie it all together.

I'm undecided on the ghost look of the R7 and Yamaha decals showing through from underneath. It kind of looks cool but at the same time I feel like it needs the original blue decals to tie it together. I ordered new ones and will see how I like it with them on to make a final decision.

That looks badass! I’ve been thinking about doing the same to mine expect with like a matte black or something. But the carbon looks great. I also didn’t like the matte dark blue or whatever it is that came stock, I took the teal off mine also. Yours looks clean af. Did you take the side fairing off and take them in to get wrapped or did the shop do it all for you?

Looks dope man! I saw those parts a month or so ago on TSTs site. I was more interested in wrapping the side fairings like OP did. Stock it’s not actually black, it’s a dark blueish color. I think it’d look way cleaner and sicker with all the teal accents removed and the side fairings in a true black or a black carbon, like OPs.

They actually matched really well, so much so that people customers at my work (cycle gear) would be asking me if they all were sold together.

That was a huge worry for me cuz there is so many different types of carbon. But yes 100% these matched
