Anyone tried this ABS removal option?

I noticed, YART has this https://yart7.com/?product=yzf-r7-2022-abs-emulator which is supposed to allow for full removal of ABS without any ECU issues. Anyone tried it?

I’m sure it works the same as the FTECU one
From a previous description, it is the FTECU one. They listed it that was originally. $50 cheaper but it is coming from UK? I'll end up ordering a Flash Tune one at some point.

Ahhhh, Austria. Perhaps they have a different provider now, it looks a bit different.

I just bought the FTEC ECU one, you have to leave both speed sensors intact, which isn't an issue. You just have to take off about 10 wire clips that guide the speed sensor wire along the brake lines. Once you remove those clips and mounting points you can remove the ABS without impacting the speed sensors.

As a previous poster stated, to remove the ABS system you will have to cut the hardline that transits under the tank, and bend those lines to get them out. (I didn't have the patience to do it any other way)

You do lose a solid bit of weight removing that pump and all the supporting kit.

I will post a video tutorial once I do this process a second time on my "race R7"

Does anyone know if the stock brake pads are sintered? They look sintered, I'd rather burn the stock ones up before putting on my Galfer pads if that's the case.

I just bent the solid lines and sort of twisted them up and out from under the seat area. I doubt they would ever go back in, but just in case.

My patience comes in much smaller amounts, you sound like a zen person to me. I wish I had that ability.

I wasn't very gentle with the bending, i didn't care that much.

Yes, I also bend the hard lines. To get them out. And I removed pump from ABS system. And just left the bottom black part of it.
You can't see it very well but I figured out that the pump/module is bolted in from a not easy to get to place.

That screw on the back side was fun to get to lol

Yeah, that can wait until I take the plastics off for some reason. The ABS light is now shutting off as soon as I start moving. The pump is the only part that is still installed. Shoot, I'll get to it. My mechanic has the ABS delete module for me already.

Pulling the rear adjusters etc this morning to ship to Fast Frank to have the captive work done. I was going to pull the starter clutch to send to Robem instead but the replacement cover gasket is on backorder nationwide until at least the end of the month so that will have to wait. Need to sign up for a Laguna Seca track day in June as it's almost full now. Bleeding money. LOL
